Asparagus, Cream Cheese and Ham Wraps!

Ya, I am kind of experimenting with Cream Cheese lately! Love the stuff and so I want to see what I can make with it! So, me and hubby went to the store and bought asparagus. YUM. To me, it tastes like green beans (when they are both raw, not cooked). So, I was eating them all evening long, just raw! MMMMM!!

K, back to the wraps....

Preheat oven to 300 degrees...

So, I put out cut sandwich ham, laid it out, softened the cream cheese and cut down the asparagus and washed it. Next, I took the cream cheese and put a dollop of it in the center of the ham, took the asparagus and put it on the cream cheese and rolled it up. I did about a dozen of them (you will want to do that many if not more!). Put them into the oven for 15 minutes.

They are EASY, DELICIOUS and my kids, hubby and me loved them!!! If you have guests come over, this is such a quick and easy finger food and mostly healthy too!!! Can't beat that, right? Enjoy!

Note: the picture above is before I cooked them (before I was finished making my dozen..) They come out slightly browned :)

My husband was sent the Hey Dude Aftershave and the Hey Dude Moisturizer. My husband normally, does not use anything on his face other than soap and water. He has never used any kind of moisturizer. When I introduced Hey Dude to him, he was kind of skeptical. He is such a guy! But, he did try it out. What he said: he likes the aftershave. It is moisturizing and sinks into his skin quickly. It does not feel oily at all. He said it also has absolutely no scent to it, none. The moisturizer he said, is a gel. It is oil free and sinks into his skin very quickly leaving it feeling soft. He felt like a girl telling me these things, so I stopped questioning him at that point. I tried it out too, on my hand, so that I could get a "feel" for it. He is right, it is nice. It has no scent, both of them do not. They both absorb very quickly. I really liked the gel moisturizer. It is oil free and made my hand super soft. I also wanted to say that I love the containers they come in. Very manly and nice.

The aftershave contains seaweed extracts that forms a protective moisturizing barrier. Seaweed extracts decrease the irritation caused by shaving and depilation. Aftershave calms and moisturizes, as well as reduces skin redness and razor burn. The moisturizer is nutrient-rich oil free gel boasting quality ingredients that include seaweed extracts and hyaluronic acid. With daily use, Moisturize will stimulate new cell growth, while promoting a natural protective barrier on your skin.

So my husbands take? He likes the products. He says he probably "could" start using skin care products, but doubts he will remember unless it is right in front of him. MEN! LOL. His skin did appear softer looking and smoother for the 2 weeks that he used it.

The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris Review

Me and my kids had the chance to review the Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris. We have watched her a few times in the past, but that is about it. Let me say, what a cute movie!

For over 70 years, she has captured the hearts and imaginations of kids worldwide. My kids love this amazing animated adventure! It is about her long lost Uncle Henri (Jason Alexander), visits Miss Clavels Parisian boarding school. Madeline is taken away and promised a wonderful new life and a family! But soon, Madeline realizes that her new life is not what she had expected. She must use her wit and courage to get back to the only real family she has ever had.

My kids love this movie and so do I. We watch it once a day! This movie is 90 minutes long and never boring.

Preserve Your Family Memories with Photo Scanning!

Do you have a ton of old pictures just sitting around in boxes in your basement or attic? Would you love to have them scanned and digitized so you can share and preserve them forever? Something simple? A good photo scanning service would be great to have around! I have so many pictures in my drawers, oh my goodness! I certainly need to go through them and organize them. But, I also want to be able to easily share them with others online. Having them sent in, scanned and digitized sounds like a great option for me!

With this photo scanning service, you can get your pictures into digital form so they can be preserved and easily shared. They also can be transformed into slides or photos to cd for your next family event. These discs can be safely stored in different places so future generations can enjoy them. I thought this was a great idea and with my Spring cleaning, I am going to do this once and for all.

Cream Cheese & Chicken Crescent Rolls! Yum!

I don't know why, but lately I want to bake and cook new things! Today I made Cream Cheese Pastry Puffs with Chicken bits! YUM! Oh my goodness, yum! The recipe is below: Preheat oven to 400 degrees:

*1 8 0z. package of Phillys Cream Cheese

* small onion diced (optional)

*1 tsp milk

* 1 egg

* 1 chicken breast cooked and diced

*Refrigerated Crescent Rolls (you buy in the tube)

Soften cream cheese and mix it in bowl with diced onion, diced cooked chicken and seasoned to taste. Next lay out crescent roll dough and place a small amount of the cream cheese, chicken and onion mix in the middle, then roll it up. Next, mix egg and milk in bowl until well mixed, then spread it over the rolls. Place in oven for 15 minutes on 400 degrees. Let cool and enjoy!! They are soooo good and very easy to make. It looks like you slaved over it, but you don't!! :) Oh, and kids LOVE them!

Penny is a sweet little 11 month old girl who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Read here to find out more about that and when they first found out.

Penny needs our help and yours too, if you can. Her health insurance is not very good and only covers 60% of her hospital bills. And just yesterday, her parents found out that she, on top of her cancer, has RSV too :(

So today, Friday, we are all trying to help get the word out. If you cannot donate, can you help spread the word for this sweet little baby girl? If you have a twitter account, facebook or blog, please please, help to get out the word. Plan Wooden Toys Review

Who does not love "green" toys? I know I am looking more and more towards not only a greener way of living for me, but also a greener way of playing, for my children. PlanToys® are made from non-toxic, natural materials such as organic rubberwood. Their toys enable children to play, learn and become closer to nature. I love this and knowing that my children are not playing with a toy that could be harmful to them (think lead).

We received one of Plan Toys Wooden Toys. It was the Tower Tumbling. My kids really like this. They love stacking up things on top of eachother and watch it tumble to the floor, so this was super fun for them to play with. It is simple, developmental toys that are eco-friendly. It encourages your children to match the colors and stack the wooden toys on top of eachother and avoid them falling over (but that is the most fun!!). The wood is smooth and great for little grabbing hands to hold onto. I like the bold colors on these wooden pieces and I also like that it has numbers printed on the wooden discs to help teach your children counting and their numbers too! Very nice set. I just wish that it came with a little wooden container or something to put them in (or maybe an eco-friendly bag?). They would get lost easily, so I keep ours in an empty cardboard box in their playroom. Works just fine!

My little boy loves action figures, cars and all things rough and tough. So when I was able to review a WWE Action Figure "John Cena" I was excited!

Mattel and World Wrestling Entertainment joined forces in January 2010 to launch the most comprehensive and detailed portfolio of WWE action figures and accessories to date. The line includes the FlexForce action figures for young fans and the elite and enterance figures for the avid collectors.

Other products, designed specifically for kids, include: Superstar Rings, Championship belts, Ring action megaphone and motion activated tough talkers. Basic figure single packs will be released every month while two packs and elite figures, every two months.

So ya, my son loves this action figure! He carries it around with him in his backpack. He says "this is my tough guy, Mom!"

I had the opportunity to review a book called "Where the Jobs Are Now." This book is a great, informative resource! It lists hundreds of useful websites, industry news and career information. Also included, is a section for grants, scholarships, loans, freelance and consulting websites and all the latest information to help keep you informed and competitive.

Neck Pain? Back Pain? OUCH!

I have had neck pain almost my whole life. I wake up every morning with some sort of pain and a lot of times I have a bad headache. Certainly not a way I like to start my days. I have tried everything from warm compresses to Tylenol and nothing takes it away or really even eases it. I think this pain is stemming from a car wreck I was in when I was 23 years old. Ugh. It also seems like whenever the weather changes (especially when it gets colder), my neck flares up big time.

I was thinking about getting an orthopedic pillow to help relieve some of my neck pain. I just don't know. There are so many to choose from but this one looks promising!

Neck pain can really wear someone down, big time. My shoulders are always stiff and hard feeling. Not very comfy, let me tell you. Maybe I need something more specific like a neck pain pillow. I have been looking at those too. There are a lot of options when it comes to pillows, you just have to research and pick what is right for you and your condition, if you have one.

There are a lot of ways to treat your back pain too. Just talk to your doctor first and foremost and decide where to go from there and what back pain treatment is best for you. I know next time I am in to see my doctor, we will be discussing this issue, again, sigh!

Wilton Review and Giveaway!

My kitchen is not much, in fact we don't even have a floor or kitchen sink (we are moving soon anyways), so cooking or baking is kind of hard for me. But I absolutely love baking, cooking and making delicious meals for my family, so it is hard! I am always trying to bake some sort of goody for my family and having new recipes and cookware are key to mixing things up a bit.

Wilton is a wonderful brand that helps you do just that, mix things up a bit and make some yummy, interesting goodies for your family. I was sent the wonderful Brownie Fun! book, a Wilton 9 inch square covered brownie pan and the brownie and treat cutter.

I am absolutely in love with my new brownie pan! This pan is amazing and made my brownies bake so wonderful. No sticking what so ever and when I washed it, it literally washed out with just warm water! I also loved that it has a lid that when I have leftover brownies, I can just snap the lid on easily and it keeps my brownies fresh inside. Usually I use tin foil and that sucks.

Baked Salmon, Sticky Rice, Cooked Asparagus and Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake!

Yep, that is what is for dinner over here tonight! YUM! It all turned out so delicious! I baked the salmon fillets in our oven at 375 degrees for 15 minutes, put a little johnnys seasoning on it and butter. Then I sauteed the asparagus in butter and garlic with a little bit of johnnys seasoning salt. The rice is just sticky rice you can buy at the store. Next was the Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake! I had enough to do two pies!

Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake:

2 pie pans of the oreo cookie already crunched in it

2 tbsp of butter

3 pkg of (8 oz each) Philadelphia cream cheese, softened

1 can of (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

2 tsp. vanilla

1 pkg (12 ounces) semi sweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled

4 eggs

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Add chocolate, mix well. Add eggs and mix well. Pour over pie crust. Bake for 1 hour 5 min. or until center is almost set. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Garnish with raspberries or whatever you so desire and enjoy! We loved ours!!

There lingerie is adorable, sexy and fun! I can't wait to wear this sexy lingerie for my hubby :) It is not cheaply made, it is actually nicely made and it has little diamond like sparkles along the cute brown border. I love the little ties at the shoulders and the brown satin tie up front, too cute! The g-string underwear are really cute too :) I am very happy with the product I received and I am sure hubby will be too! They also have plus-sized lingerie available too!

Me and my kids enjoyed the CD. It was upbeat, fun and silly and they danced up a storm in the livingroom! I actually thought the songs were good and they did not annoy me like some children's songs. The DVD was a different story for me. While my kids enjoyed it some, I did not like it. I did not like the rainbow bright clothes that they wore, but the music was good. That is my only complaint about the DVD.
